Cathedral, Alcázar and a long Triana evening — reachable in a single comfortable drive from Lisbon or the Algarve.

Border crossing
A22/A49 (no passport stop)
Best season
October–May (Seville summer heat is intense)
Seville is closer than Spain feels: just two and a half hours from the Algarve and around five hours from Lisbon. The drive is straightforward, the road is good, and the border crossing on the A22/A49 is barely noticeable. We run this route frequently in both directions — guests heading east for a long weekend, cruise transfers, multi-city itineraries combining Andalusia with Lisbon or the Algarve, and Spanish guests heading west for the beach. As with all our cross-border long-distance routes, we quote upfront and the price includes everything.
Why drive across
Trains between Portugal and Seville are slow and require changes. Flying is short but the airport rigmarole eats the time saved. A direct private transfer — five hours from Lisbon, two and a half from the Algarve — is door-to-door, has no security queues, and you arrive at your hotel relaxed with no luggage moved twice.
What we typically arrange
Common itineraries: long weekend Seville from Lisbon (one driver each way); add-on Seville night during an Algarve holiday; multi-city southern Iberia loops (Lisbon → Évora → Algarve → Seville → back); and one-way cross-border for guests flying out of Seville (SVQ).
Cross-border practicalities
Schengen — no passport stop at the bridge. Spanish tolls (AP-7 on certain sections) are included in our quote. Our drivers carry Spanish-language paperwork and basic Spanish; if you need a Spanish-speaking driver for the entire journey, mention it in the quote request.

Frequently asked
How long is the drive Lisbon → Seville?+
Five hours each way including a short comfort stop.
Algarve → Seville — same day there and back?+
Possible but tight. Two and a half hours each way; we recommend at least an overnight in Seville for a comfortable visit.
Why is the price not fixed online?+
Long-distance cross-border routes have too many variables (vehicle category, season, return leg, multi-city). A short message gets you a clear quote — usually within hours.
Are Spanish tolls included?+
Yes — all tolls on both sides of the border are included in the quote.
Can the same driver take us across multiple cities?+
Yes. Multi-day Iberian loops are one of our most-loved formats. WhatsApp us with your itinerary.
Are you a licensed Spanish taxi/VTC?+
No — we are a Portuguese transfer operator and we drive across the border to a defined destination. We do not run urban taxi service inside Seville (we are NOT a licensed Spanish taxi/VTC). Local urban work in Seville should be arranged with a Spanish licensed operator on the ground.
